I snuck into a South Beach Comedy Festival event once at the Delano. I drank their free drinks. It was wonderful.

Already in its 6th year, the festival’s back. It’s teaming up with the Have-Nots to put on a Local All-Stars show Thursday night at Buck 15 (1661 Meridian Ave., MB). The event will be hosted by my former roommate and THL’s Jessica Gross.

We asked her reasons we should show up. She said, “People should come to the show because there will be so much laughing your spleen will burst and start leaking fluids… and there will be this sweet moment of euphoria where comedy and death will become one.” We’ll die laughing? Sold.

The lineup features winners from previous South Beach Comedy Festival’s “Best New Comedian Contest” and Lisa Corrao, Wendi Starling, Johnny Trabs, Gene Harding, and Dave Williamson. The show starts at 7 p.m. and it’s free if you get two drinks.
